“Great! I just want to make sure the information you previously provided us is still correct... (verify best time to reach, household)

"The goal of our studies is to develop methods that can improve family health and wellness in our communities. Your involvement can really help contribute to our advancement in learning how to optimize treatments and there may be compensation opportunities for your efforts.

To determine which studies you might be eligible for, I would like to ask you some questions. Any information obtained from you during this call will be treated in strict confidence to the extent provided by law. All information collected during this call is recorded in a secure database. This database will include your contact information, interest/willingness to participate in future studies, and answers to any eligibility criteria. This information will be kept in the database, with your consent, to help recruitment for future studies. Your participation during this phone call is voluntary and you may stop at any time. Do you wish to continue?"

If NO:

“Okay, thank you for your time.”

If YES:

“Now I am going to ask you for some information about yourself.” (search for the family’s last name in the database, to confirm & review their information)


If qualified for active studies:

Here are the studies, you might be eligible for (list studies). Do any of these studies sound like something you would be interested in participating in?

If NO:


“Okay, thank you for your time.”

If YES:

“Great! Someone from that study will be in contact with you soon. Thank you so much for your time!”

If NOT qualified for any active studies:

“Unfortunately, you do not qualify for any of our current active studies. However, we have many upcoming studies that you may qualify for.  If you’re interested in being contacts about future participation opportunities, I could indicate that in your file. Would you like me to do that?”
